Hatched on Sollgel Island and raised by Godzilla, Minya is the adopted son of Godzilla.

Minya appears to be the adopted son of Godzilla. The King of the Monsters found Minya as a newly hatched baby being attacked by three Kamacuras. Godzilla came to the little guy's rescue, and they stayed together from then on, wagging father-and-son battles when necessary.

In Destroy All Monsters, Minya is present for the ending battle against King Ghidorah, but mostly kept a safe distance. Once the golden dragon is down, Minya helped finish King Ghidorah off by firing a radioactive smoke ring around the middle neck of the monster.

In All Monsters Attack, Minya is tormented by the bullying monster Gabara and retreats from two of their encounters. The third time they meet, Minya uses a clever strategy to gain the upper hand. Of coarse, these encounters happen in a young boys dream, not in real life.
