In the underwater kingdom of Mu, there is a guardian
who protects the kingdom. This guardian is a giant sea serpent. The name
of this sea serpent is Manda. Manda was captured and contained on Monster
Island far away from the kingdom of Mu.

Manda is a strong sea serpent, able of moving on land with tiny legs.
Originally a protector of an undersea kingdom of Mu, Manda became, as well as many other monsters, became a resident of Monster Island.
In the movie Destroy All Monsters, the alien
Kilaaks allowed Manda to help Godzilla, Mothra (who
you will later see), and Rodan (who you will also later see) in destroying
Tokyo.
Manda was present as a rooter for the monsters at the
final battle at Mt. Fuji, where King Ghidorah was ultimately defeated.
Then Manda returned to Monster Island.
